This policy explains what information Books at Ease collects when you use booksatease.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. We wrote it in plain English on purpose.
Who we are
Books at Ease (“we”, “us”) provides bookkeeping services to small businesses in the United States. Our website is https://booksatease.com. You can reach us at tony@booksatease.com.
What we collect
Information you give us. When you fill in a form on our site (for example to request a case study or download a free checklist), book a call, or chat with us, we collect what you enter: usually your name, email address and any message you write.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we and the tools listed below collect technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view and how you arrived at our site. Some of this is collected using cookies and similar technologies.
How we use it
- To reply to you, send you the download or case study you asked for, and schedule calls.
- To understand how people use our website so we can improve it.
- To measure whether our advertising works.
- To keep our site and forms secure and block spam.
- To follow up about our services when you have asked us to or shown interest in them.
Tools and services we use
We use trusted third-party services to run the site. Each one handles data under its own privacy policy.
- Google Analytics measures how visitors use our website.
- Meta Pixel helps us measure and improve our advertising on Facebook and Instagram.
- Tidio powers the chat window on our site.
- Calendly handles booking when you schedule a call with us.
- Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a form is being filled in by a person, not a bot.
- Our website hosting provider stores the site and the information submitted through our forms.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use them for the analytics, advertising measurement, chat and security tools above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can also opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on and manage Meta ads in your Facebook ad preferences. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the site work.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers listed above, and with others when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as we need it to respond to you and provide our services, and as long as the law requires. You can ask us to delete it sooner.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and you can ask us to stop contacting you. Email tony@booksatease.com and we will respond as required by the law that applies to you, including privacy laws in your state or country.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information you give us. No website or storage system can be made completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
Our website is for business owners and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top.
